Fynlo Privacy Policy

  Short version: Your financial data never leaves your device.
  Fynlo stores all transactions, accounts, budgets, and goals locally in an encrypted
  on-device database. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your financial information.

1. Data We Collect

Fynlo collects the minimum data necessary to operate:

Account information — your name and email address, used only to identify your account across devices. Stored in Firebase Authentication.
Premium status — whether you are a premium subscriber. Stored in Firebase Firestore (your {uid} document only).
Purchase token — a one-time token from Google Play, used to verify your subscription server-side. Not stored after verification.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Your transactions, balances, or account names — stored on-device only (Room database)
Your budgets, savings goals, or spending habits
Your location
Advertising identifiers
Contact lists or other device data

3. Third-Party Services

Firebase Authentication (Google) — manages login. Firebase Privacy
Firebase Firestore (Google) — stores your premium status only. Data is restricted to your account by security rules.
Google Play Billing — processes subscription payments. Fynlo never sees your payment card details.
AI Assistant (optional feature) — if you use the AI chat feature, your message is sent to the AI provider to generate a response. No financial data from your device is included unless you explicitly type it in your message.
Exchange rates — currency conversion rates are fetched from a public API. No personal data is sent.

4. Data Security

Your on-device financial data is stored in a Room (SQLite) database. We recommend enabling device screen lock and the optional biometric lock in Fynlo settings for additional protection. Firebase data is protected by server-side security rules that restrict access to your account only.

5. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time:

On-device data — uninstall the app or use Settings → Delete All Data in the app.
Account data — use Settings → Delete Account in the app, or email us at privacy@fynlo.app.

6. Children

Fynlo is a personal finance app intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
